SEVEN CHILLING THINGS YOU SHOULD

What is the soul? The author believes the soul is the moral or spiritual part of Man as related to GOD.  Souls may last forever, but they may be exploited, and even killed.  The Occultists speak of silver cords that bind the soul to the body and are broken only by death.  Eastern religions practice cremation of the dead to sever the mortal bond, a separation from the divine, a meaningless cycle of birth and rebirth (samsara) believed to be determined by the purity or impurity of past deeds (karma), and to release the soul to enter paradise.   Read this book!

SEVEN CHILLING THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT YOUR SOUL

And A Promise of Hope for Mankind’s Future

By

Patricia Griffin Ress

To discuss the soul, it is important that we understand just exactly WHAT the soul is. The dictionary gives us important elements to consider. First of all, the soul is a noun-a person, place or thing.  It is "the rational, emotional and volitional faculties in man conceived of as forming              AN ENTITY DISTINCT FROM THE BODY.  It is the moral or spiritual part of Man as related to God."

So the soul of Man is something apart from the rest of him (her). And it is of a different nature or substance (some would say density) than the body.  If we have been reared in a religious tradition, we believe that the soul lives after death. We may go to heaven, to hell, to 'Valhalla' or a 'happy hunting ground.'  Or we may go to a Purgatory to work out our sins, or to the BARDO- a mysterious netherworld where we rest between lives.  But whatever happens to the soul after death, we can be assured that it is eternal or is it?  In the light of recent findings, we may not be as immortal as we think!  This fear first crossed my mind several years ago when my husband (an avid science-fiction fan) was telling me how one author described a nuclear war in which all the souls were destroyed!  I was surprised that anyone would even entertain such a thought. All my life I had been assured that, because of my soul, I would live forever!  Yet someone had described a hypothetical situation in which that would not be the case!

Years later, in a Metaphysical study class, an inter-dimensional traveler who had suffered a bad NDE (Near Death Experience) revealed to us that he was shown that if a soul is evil enough it can be destroyed!  While that thought is sobering enough, an even stranger one was presented to me as a graduate student during a conversation with a friend who holds a PhD. from Columbia University.      This man had been reared a Presbyterian.  He told me that he did not believe in hell, but that to theologically balance this belief, he did not think everyone had a soul!  Oddly enough, my husband once said something similar. During a conversation about gangs, serial killers, and people with no clear morals or ethics, my husband (a former school psychologist) described these folks as 'biological machines without souls.'  Perhaps this was not as strange a concept as I had once believed!  Then I received even more startling information when I read THE KEY by Whitley Strieber.

In that book, Strieber has a late-night conversation with a man who could have been angel, demon, human, alien, or God himself!   At one point in their discussion about the nature and future of man, Strieber asks if the soul can be destroyed.  His ‘guest’ replies:

“An atomic explosion throws all plasmas into chaos. They can also destroy themselves and technological intervention may destroy them.     Souls may last forever, but they may be exploited-even killed!  And they may be executed!"

Whew!  That was a lot to assimilate into my feeble mortal brain.  But when it did finally 'sink in' gongs were going off in my head.  All of this was oddly familiar.  To begin with, in the study of physics, plasma refers to the region in a gas-discharge tube in which there are approximately equal numbers of positive ions and electrons.  People who communicate with the dead using EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) are using electrons to establish this communication.  Therefore, if something disrupts the electrical components of plasma, this communication is broken. How this would affect the source of the communication itself is not terribly clear.  Nor is it clear whether the source is actually the soul itself or some kind of shell the soul leaves behind. (Many whom have experienced near-death, speak of leaving two bodies before going on to their final destination.  Are these two shells what are left behind to correspond with EVP experimenters?)

UFO contactee Alex Collier once revealed to an audience that he had been told that our ‘Last Judgment takes place in/on the Van Allen belts  - these are radiation belts that surround the earth.  Again-more connection between our souls and electricity or electro-magnetism.  And our behavior as a human race is believed to be altered by sun spot activity-or storms on the surface of the sun.  How our psyche is affected in turn affects the material world.

Talk show host Art Bell revealed that he had read / heard that in areas of high cell phone usage, ghostly activity declined or ceased!  Again we have an electrical cause and effect!  Occultists speak of 'silver cords' that bind the soul to the body and break upon death. This is why Eastern religions prefer cremation, which destroys the electro-magnetic bond the soul has to the body and releases it to enter Paradise (or wherever!)  So the soul can be affected by the physical world. The question is 'to what extent?'

Long time UFO researchers have spoken of a substance called ‘loosh.’  Supposedly this is produced by the human soul and is produced only when the soul is feeling unconditional love, compassion, and empathy.  Aliens need this substance for survival.  It is a non-physical, ethereal substance-far removed from the essence of fear that negative aliens feed from.  But loosh may help in human relationships as well.

Not long ago, a spiritualist minister told me I would have a better relationship with my oldest most rebellious child if-late at night when she was asleep-I would talk to her soul. The minister advised me to assure her soul that I loved her and wanted what was best for her and I could do this even if she was married with five children and living 50 miles away from me!  In other words I could communicate with her soul without her ever knowing I had done so!  Although I was quite skeptical, I gave it a try and Io and behold! It worked!  My friend told me that it would work if she was asleep, awake, or in the process of doing something else!  Is this a case of two souls being attracted to/by each other’s loosh-or is it something else?  Perhaps that is as good an answer as is possible?

Another bit of information I picked up from UFO contactees is that some aliens have a way of actually removing a soul from an abductee. They did not elaborate on what happens to the soul once it is removed, and that is speculative.   But certainly it could be somehow entrapped and subsequently exploited.

Lets go back to the notion of destroying a soul or throwing it into chaos. In one of my history books I recall seeing an exhibit of photographs, which had been taken shortly after the U.S., bombed Hiroshima at the end of Word War ll.  One picture showed a short cement staircase that had been the entrance to a bank building.  On the top step was a dark, round smudge. The cut line beneath the picture explained that the smudge had been a woman sitting on that step at the time the bomb was dropped!  Sadly, it said, she had been vaporized!  What had happened to her soul and spirit? That is a frightening thought!

Those of us who have read about THE PHILADELPHIA EXPERIMENT have heard about a man named Al Bilek.  Through all his time travels, he has allegedly gone from adulthood to childhood and back affected by numerous mysterious doings I find difficult to comprehend.  I would normally dismiss such odd claims, but they are similar to claims I have heard from at least two other sources who have spoken about an alien invention called a soul regression device.'  Supposedly this device can send your soul backward to an earlier time of its existence.  If the soul cannot escape this (and Al Belik's soul obviously didn't) then it is imprisoned by it, which means that the intelligence controlling such a device could subject the captive soul to a number of things, not the least of which could be an endless time-loop-a kind of hell.  The ancient Greeks hinted at this when they wrote about Sisyphus and Tantalus in a repetitive, exasperating existence in Hades.  Perhaps this was not as mythological as our scholars once supposed.

In his book CONTACT THE OTHER SIDE Seven Methods For Afterlife Communication, occult investigator Konstantinos states: " .... Our level or status in the afterlife has nothing to do with our religion and everything to do with our deeds done while on this physical plane ... When our astral body dies ... The soul is free to move on to other worlds.  After moving from the astral body the soul encounters a world that is composed of several realms or levels."

This would agree with what has been stated previously.  It would also suggest that the soul is beyond any religious tradition/culture and is subject to laws above them.

In the BIBLE, Book of Matthew, Chapter 10 - verse 28 we read:

".... But rather fear him, which is able to destroy both body and souls in hell . . . “

And in Isaiah, Chapter 56, Verse 3...”Incline your ear and come unto me, hear and your soul shall live . . . “

So something or someone has control over whether our soul lives or dies.  This brings up another thought. Courtney Brown is a remote viewer who has remote-viewed aliens in their hiding places. (Remote viewing is not a psychic ability-it is a trained and learned skill that enables the user to contact their subconscious mind for answers). They have revealed to him that they are here to help us just as there are other beings in other realms and dimensions that are waiting to have us help them.  Whether we make it to heaven or not could depend on the degree to which we ascend above our own problems to help others!

Again, from the book previously quoted, Konstantinos says:

"Souls move through levels accomplishing vital tasks related to their development and always striving for the higher form of being ... their development often depends on tasks that can only be thought of as jobs . . .”

And not only do the dead still work, but they can be held back and remain earthbound by attachments they formed in life.  For example, Edgar Cayce once revealed that when alcoholics lust after drink, this 'attachment' can keep them on earth still looking for a place to get a drink long after they have passed.  Also, when these people “black out” or turn into Jekyll and Hyde personalities, it is because their soul has left and the body has become inhabited by demons and other lower entities from the astral realm ... hence the vicious drunk.  And what is true of alcohol can also be said for drugs, sex, nicotine, caffeine, money, power and other false gods that modern man pursues.

But there is something far worse than merely being attached to some pleasure you enjoyed while alive.  It concerns people who are in the words of the late Father Malachi Martin – “perfectly possessed.”  These are highly effective and successful people who have made their “pact” with the dark side.  And the unfortunate thing is that they may not even realize it!

Many of us recall the play/opera Faust by Goethe.  In its re-enactment, the reader/audience sees Faust late at night making a pact with the devil!  Eventually we see the devil returning for the soul of Faust – complete with smoke, fire and brim stone!  Oddly enough, this is the scenario most people would expect when making a pact with the devil.  But that would be too easy!  I recall my son and granddaughter commenting that Damien Thorn of “The Omen” was ‘cute’!  My husband laughed and asked if they expected horns and pitchforks!  When most of us are tempted, horns and pitchforks are no longer in sight!

People who live a totally materialistic life – with little regard for anything else have made a ‘pact’ just as surely as if they had signed it in the presence of “the horned one.”

Art Bell guest, Steve Gibbs, by all accounts a time traveler who has been shown past, present, future, heaven, and hell, says that the saddest thing he sees is when people wind up in hell because of ignorance.  Do people really go to hell?  Yes indeed!  Gibbs says they do, “By the truckload!”

More food for thought along these same lines is information given by Major Ed Dames, a military – trained remote viewer who has ‘honed in’ on the mark of the Beat and the false prophet!

Dames, believes that ‘the mark’ is actually ‘money’ or what substitutes for it.  And the false prophet is – of all things – television!  We are all being sucked into a fascist hell called The New World Order – and the instigators are the true children of Satan who are laying the ground work for his kingdom!

So now we have seen that the soul can:

1.      Be destroyed

2.      Enslaved

3.      Sent back through time and past lives

4.  Tormented or tortured by being able to

feel pain they have caused others

5.  Continues to learn after death

6.  Continues to work its way to higher levels

7. Can be bound to earth by forming

attachments and habits they are unable to

break while they are still here.

But there is something very positive awaiting the soul.  Theologian Glen Kimball has said that if we knew what awaited us on the other side, we would all commit suicide to get there – so what could it be?

Let's go back to Dannion Brinkley's comment that we are here to 'co-create with God.'  How are we to co-create with the creator of the universe?  Such a thought is mind-boggling!  And remember the little man who visited Whitley Strieber?  He went even further, he said we could BECOME God!  So just how high CAN the soul rise?  Albert Taylor explains how high in his book Soul Traveler.

"Last but not least is the over-soul entity.... a being of unimaginable capabilities and possibilities.  This type of self-aware consciousness is virtually limited.  This being is no longer tied to the cycle of reincarnation.  The Over-soul entity has been referred to as a God in the making... it is rapidly progressing toward the ultimate truth which is to become co-worker and co-creator with God.”  So the destiny of our soul is to become a God ... far and away more than we ever dreamed or dared to dream!

But, how do we avoid the enslavement, torture, possible destruction of our souls or a further 'sentence' to yet another life here on earth-so we can go on to our most wondrous destiny - to co-create with God?
