BIOGRAPHICAL
NOTE
I
was born in 1959 and have been a writer for most of my adult life. “The supernatural has always fascinated me
and in particular, stories about the Virgin Mary.
“Writing for children is important
work! I believe it’s better to inspire
faith and love, to bring a new perspective to their hearts and minds and hopefully ignite a flame that will burn
inside each one of them for the rest of their lives.
“People need to know there is so much more
than they can see. The unseen is very
exciting and this is what ‘Catherine’s
Angel’ is all about. This is what I
know and love. It’s about bringing to
light Catholic truths in a supernatural way and to surround those beautiful
truths with a fictional story line is artistic splendor! These stories are for
everyone.”
I am
a member of: the CONSERVATORY Of AMERICAN LETTERS, the APOSTOLATE Of
FATIMA and the SACRED HEART LEAGUE.
I
want my fans, both young and adult, to know I have written a new book and the
title is ‘ROSES FROM LORETO,’ which
shall be released soon.
ROSES From LORETO is about my trip to Italy. There I pray to the Virgin of Loreto and
ask Her, “What is heaven really like?” It’s summer in Italy and later when the
Virgin answers my question it’s spectacular!
She actually shows me in what I call, “A Supernatural Play!”

CATHERINE’S ANGEL

This
is the story of Catherine, and her sister Mary. They lived with each other in the town of Tipperary. Catherine loved to ride her bike to school
each day, and after school before she went home, she liked to ride her bike
down to the bay.
She
prayed along the way to her guardian angel to keep her safe. She loved to look for seashells, all kinds,
all shapes. “I love seashells”
Catherine said, “they’re all beautiful to me.
Different shapes and sizes and colors, like people, in God’s family
tree.”
All of a sudden Catherine
heard a voice, and it was like it came from the air. It sounded like her sister Mary’s voice, but she knew she wasn’t
there. As she went to pick up a shell
by a tree, she saw a bright light. It
was so bright, she could hardly see.
Her eyes could see a lady was there, a beautiful lady with lovely dark,
brown hair. She smiled at Catherine as
Catherine said, “Was that your voice that I heard? Are you from heaven?”
The lady smiled, as she
listened intensely to Catherine’s every word.
Such joy filled Catherine’s heart as she looked upon this Angel so
dear. That God loved her so much, she
knew she had nothing to fear. As she
gazed upon this vision of brilliant white light, she saw other colors like she
saw in her seashells that gave her such delight.
Now back at home, her sister
Mary was concerned where Catherine was.
She prayed to Jesus and Mary, and prayed and prayed as every good
Catholic does. She took out her holy rosary
that the Queen of Heaven gave to all.
This precious gift from God, God’s grace, God’s call. She had been praying all along to our Lady,
to send an angel to Catherine’s side.
She prayed, and she prayed; she cried and she cried. As Mary’s fingers moved along her rosary in
prayer, she was hoping and praying that Catherine would soon be there.
As she gazed out the window,
Catherine was nowhere to be found, but she saw a glittering rainbow, yet there
was no rain around. As she saw the
rainbow, Mary’s heart was filled with joy and light. Mary said, “My prayers have been answered. I believe Catherine is all right!”
Catherine
was still speaking to her heavenly friend; she was so happy in Her presence,
she did not want the moment to end.
“You’ve been so kind, dear Lady,” Catherine said, “to visit me on this
day. Is there any thing I can do for
you, is there something you would like to say?”
The
Lady smiled and spoke. “Say your rosary
everyday, Catherine, and wear your brown scapular too. Know that I love you and have faith. One day, I’ll be back for you.” They both smiled at each other with love as
the angelic Lady disappeared up above.
Over the water and to the tree, Catherine saw a glimmering rainbow where
the Lady used to be.
Her heart was filled with
joy and light, as she gazed upon that colorful site. “Oh, how beautiful this day has been,” Catherine said. “How good and merciful our Father in heaven
is. The Holy Spirit has graced me with
this vision of light and hope so others can share in this.
As
Catherine continued to gaze upon that beautiful site, she was unaware that the
day was becoming night. Just then, she
believed she heard her guardian angel’s voice speak to her and say, “Catherine,
it’s getting late; it’s almost nightfall, be on your way!”
She
peddled her bike as fast as she could, so happy and wanting to tell her sister
what happened at that special place. Catherine was so excited she hopped off
her bike and ran to the door where she saw her sister with tears running down
her face.
“Catherine what happened,
where have you been?” Mary said.
“Oh Mary! I saw the most
beautiful site!” As Mary’s tears dried up and joy came upon her face, she said,
“Oh Catherine, I’m just so happy that you’re all right. Tell me what did you see, what did you
hear?”
Catherine said, “I saw an
angel from heaven and she spoke to me and I didn’t have any fear. After the
Lady left, I saw a rainbow.”
“I
saw a rainbow, too!” Mary said, “as I was looking out the window and praying
for you.” They both smiled at each
other and hugged once more, and to Catherine’s surprise as she gazed over
Mary’s shoulder to the door, she saw a statue of our Lady of Fatima with long,
dark hair and a smile so bright, she recognized her at once as the Lady she
called her angel, that gave her such delight.
“Mary
that’s her, that’s the Lady I saw, on the beach this day!” It was the Virgin Mary Herself that appeared
to Catherine on that special shore on Tippetary bay.
ANGELS ALL AROUND US
“Catherine!
Catherine! Are you dreaming?” She heard her mother’s voice, as she opened
her eyes. She saw her mother’s sweet
smile. “Sweetheart, it’s time to rise!”
As she rose from her bed, a
gift from her grandmother her eyes were searching to find. There on the table by her bed, there’s a
statue of an angel and she’s holding a lamb, and Her smile was so kind. “Here Darcy, here Darcy,” and this little
dachshund dog jumped up on the bed.
“My favorite day!” Catherine
said. “Saturday!” I’ll pray to my
guardian angel that we’ll be safe.
Let’s go Darcy!” As Catherine
picked up her sweater, she and Darcy went down the steps. “Let’s go to our favorite place!”
As she was almost out the
door, she heard a voice say, “Catherine, your breakfast is getting cold. There’s plenty of time to play.”
At the table with her Momma
and her Papa, she was trying to quickly down her bowl of oatmeal and her
pineapple orange drink. “Look Momma,
I’m finished!” Catherine said. “I’ll
put the dishes in the sink.”
“Hold on!” her Momma said,
as she touched Catherine’s hand. “Where
are you going today?”
“Out and about,” Catherine
said. It’s really top secret,
Momma. I really don’t want to say.”
“Does it have anything to do
with it being your Momma’s birthday tomorrow?” Papa said. He winked at Catherine with a smile on his
face.
“If I said yes,” Catherine
said, “it wouldn’t be a secret any more, Papa.”
“All right then, it’s all
right. Be on your way.”
As
Catherine hurried out the door she said, “Come on, Darcy, let’s go! Let’s not let any one see where we’re
going. We don’t want any one to know. You see, I have a gift basket and I’m going
to put different kinds of flowers of different colors inside. Momma will love it; it will be quite the
surprise.
“I know where there is a
bright and beautiful meadow where we can find them; that’s not so far
away. C’mon, Darcy, let’s take some
time to play.” So they played and
played, going forward to the meadow that Catherine described. They were playing and having so much fun
that Catherine lost track of time.
Before they knew it they were in the dark woods. Catherine looked up, she looked down, and
saw that the trees were so tall, there were just bits and pieces of sunlight on
the ground.
“Darcy!” Catherine cried
out. “Where are you? Come to me!
Come to me now!”
Darcy was gone; Catherine
was scared and there was darkness all around.
She knew she was lost and her little dog was lost, too. “Momma and Papa,
where are you?” Catherine cried out with her loudest voice. She was crying and just then she found her
holy rosary in her pocket and began to pray to her holy Mother Mary, the Mother
of Jesus, whom she loved so very much.
After one bead then another, she became less fearful with every touch.
As she was praying she
remembered her angel statue that she loved and that she had left back at
home. She prayed to the Virgin Mary to
send an angel to guide her home and be by her side. She found an old tree stump so she knelt down, she prayed and she
cried. She was praying so hard and then
she looked up and saw a glimmering rainbow up through the trees, through the
dark. Then her eyes moved down below
the tree line and there she saw the most beautiful site, a smiling lady coming
towards her. She was glowing and wearing
white.
As she came closer,
Catherine saw to her surprise that the-lady was carrying something in her
arms. She was overjoyed inside, for
what she believed she was soon to know, that it was Darcy the lady was holding
in her arms. A rose from heaven above
that the lady was about to bestow. She
stopped where Catherine was and gave her doggie back with a smile.
“Thank
you very much,” Catherine said. “Darcy
was lost for quite a while. Now she is found!”
The
lady said, “And back where she belongs.”
And she winked. Just then
Catherine noticed that her new friend had a rosary in her hand and it was white
and pink with a crucifix of gold that shone like the sun. Catherine thought to herself that this lady
was different, where was she from?
“I have a rosary, too!” Catherine exclaimed. “And I was praying to the Virgin Mary and then I saw you! You see. I’m lost myself, and in need of help, too.” Catherine spoke in a soft voice. “Will you help me? Please ?
